Dog Collar
Dog collar options range greatly in both style and function.
For the average owner, these items exist primarily for identification
purposes. However, different types may also provide different benefits.
For instance, some may offer disease prevention while others aid in
training.
In its most basic form, a dog collar may not have any tags on it. In
some areas, this is enough to show that the dog has an owner. Many areas
require dogs to have identification tags in order for them not to be
picked up by animal control.
Of course, it is very common for laws to extend beyond that. For instance,
a dog collar may be required to include vaccine information. It is also
common for any roaming dog to be picked up regardless of whether a collar
is worn.
